Après un 1er EP, 6 titres, 'Amongst The Ruins', en 2014, Mind Imperium sort : 'Way to Carcosa', un album comprenant 11 chansons en 2018. Un nouvel opus, 'Nemesis', est annoncé pour 2022.
La salle est plongée dans l'obscurité. Une musique s'élève, douce et inquiétante à la fois. Le tempo est marqué par une note constante cristalline, comme pour signifier le temps qui s'écoule inéluctablement. Des murmures d'outre-tombe se font entendre. L'orchestration s'intensifie pour quelques instants puis le groupe se dévoile et prend le relais. La part belle est laissée au batteur qui assure des enchaînements savoureux durant cette intro. Le chant clair de Nogh retentit sur une tonalité d'une sombre gravité, secondé par Carol, avant qu'il n'entame sur un timbre plus rocailleux, presque growlé, avec un changement de cadence nerveux, couvert par une rythmique très efficace. Sur 'Fragmented' et 'Nemesis', les blast-beats sont très présents, les riffs plombés, l'énergie thrash. Idem pour 'Eventide', mais en plus syncopée. Après avoir annoncé que c'est leur premier live à Nice, bien qu'il soit déjà passé dans le sud de la France et notamment au Monster's Art à Fréjus et Nogh en profite pour remercier Samantha de Black Keys Production, organisatrice de la soirée, puis ce sera au tour de l'Altherax. 'Untamed' propose de belles envolées mélodiques. Des phrases parlées de Nogh, reprises par Carol ou en duo sur la partie lente, le chant est hurlé sur les sections rapides. On a l'impression que Nogh y jette toutes ses tripes, démontrant toute la vigueur de sa détermination. D'ailleurs, il nous apprendra que ce titre est en faveur de la protection des loups, en partenariat avec leurs amis de Sea Shepherd ainsi que la chanson suivante 'A War Without End', sur laquelle ils ont collaboré pour la réalisation du clip qui dénonce le Grindadràp, mettant de ce fait en avant l'engagement du groupe pour la cause environnementale et animale. Il était important de le souligner. 'A War Without End' se ressent effectivement comme une quête belliqueuse et présente des revirements rythmiques inattendus et enflammés d'une incroyable force. Nogh invitera les personnes qui le désirent à monter sur scène et handbanguer aux côtés du groupe. 4 spectateurs les rejoindront l'espace d'un moment. 'Burning' habituellement interprété par Lenos, le chanteur d'Aeon Patronist est reprise avec fougue. Après un rappel soutenu du public, les musiciens reprennent leurs instruments. Et ce n'est pas un hasard si Mind Imperium termine ce live avec Refuge/Resist de Sepultura.
Le combo fait preuve de belles qualités techniques (il est à noter car c'est chose rare, que Carol joue sur une fretless), et a su créer des titres puissants, parés d'une éloquence mélodique réussie, inspiré par de généreuses convictions.

The room is plunged into darkness. A music rises, soft and disturbing at the same time. The tempo is marked by a constant crystalline note, as if to signify the ineluctable passage of time. Whispers from beyond the grave can be heard. The orchestration intensifies for a few moments then the band reveals itself and takes over. The beautiful part is left to the drummer who ensures tasty sequences during this intro. Nogh's clear vocals sound darkly serious, seconded by Carol, before he starts on a more rocky, almost growled tone, with a nervous change of pace, covered by a very effective rhythmic. On 'Fragmented' and 'Nemesis', the blast-beats are very present, the riffs leaded, the energy thrash. Same for 'Eventide', but more syncopated. After announcing that this is their first live in Nice, although it has already passed in the south of France and in particular at the Monster's Art in Frejus and Nogh takes the opportunity to thank Samantha of Black Keys Production, organizer of the evening, then it will be the turn of the Altherax. Untamed' offers beautiful melodic flights. Spoken phrases of Nogh, taken over by Carol or in duet on the slow part, the vocal is screamed on the fast sections. We have the impression that Nogh throws all his guts into it, showing all the strength of his determination. Moreover, he will tell us that this track is in favor of the protection of the wolves, in partnership with their friends of Sea Shepherd as well as the following song 'A War Without End', on which they collaborated for the realization of the clip which denounces the Grindadràp, thus putting forward the engagement of the group for the environmental and animal cause. It was important to underline it. A War Without End' does indeed feel like a belligerent quest and features unexpected and fiery rhythmic reversals of incredible strength. Nogh will invite anyone who wants to come on stage and handbang with the band. 4 spectators will join them for a while. Burning', usually performed by Lenos, the singer of Aeon Patronist, is taken up with enthusiasm.
After a sustained recall of the public, the musicians take back their instruments. And it's not a coincidence that Mind Imperium ends this live with Refuge/Resist by Sepultura.
The combo shows beautiful technical qualities (it should be noted that Carol plays on a fretless), and knew to create powerful titles, adorned with a successful melodic eloquence, inspired by generous convictions.
