Terji Skibenæs, guitariste de Týr depuis 2001, vient d'annoncer son départ du groupe dans un communiqué que voici :
''Ça y est. Je quitte officiellement le groupe TÝR après 17 ans de contribution. Après des mois de réflexion, j'ai fini par prendre la décision qu'il était temps pour moi d'arrêter. La raison est très simple : je n'ai plus aucun désir de jouer dans le groupe. Il n'y a pas de problème ou quoi que ce soit de ce genre entre moi et les autres, c'est juste que je n'ai plus de joie à jouer de la musique dans le style de TÝR. Je tiens à remercier Heri Joensen et Gunnar Thomsen pour tout le temps que nous avons eu et je souhaite tout le meilleur dans le futur. Et merci à tous les fans pour le soutien à travers les années.
Mon dernier spectacle avec Týr sera au Sabaton Open Air en août. Plus de nouvelles sont à venir sur mes futurs projets.

Le groupe n'a pour l'instant rien annoncé quant à un possible remplacement du guitariste.
Terji Skibenæs, guitarist of Týr since 2001, has just announced his departure from the band in a statement:
''This is it. I am now officially leaving the band TÃR after 17 years. After months of thinking this through carefully, I've finally come to the decision that it's time for me to quit. The reason is very simple: I have no desire whatsoever to play in TÃR anymore. There's no drama or anything going on between me and the others. It's just me not having any joy to play the music in the style of TÃR anymore. I want to thank Heri Joensen and Gunnar Thomsen for the all the time we had and I wish TÃR all the best in the future. And thanks to all the fans for the support through the years.
My last show with Týr will be at Sabaton open air in August. More news to follow soon about my future projects.
