Vous connaissez probablement le groupe MaYaN, connu pour être porté par Mark Jansen, guitariste et compositeur d'Epica. La formation a annoncé la sortie d'un nouvel album pour le 21 septembre 2018 via Nuclear Blast. Ce nouvel opus s'intitule ''Dhyana'' et un premier morceau, ''The Rhythm Of Freedom'', est déjà disponible à l'écoute.
L'amour du groupe pour les musiques de film l'a poussé à s'entourer de l'orchestre philharmonique de la ville de Prague pour enregistrer ce nouvel album, grâce à l'argent récolté auprès de leurs fans (40 000 euros). Cet orchestre est mondialement connu pour avoir participé aux bandes originales de films comme ''Star Wars'', ''Hannibal'' ou encore ''Arrival'', mais également pour avoir collaboré avec Dimmu Borgir sur ''Death Cult Armageddon''.
Mark Jansen a déclaré : « Nous avons mis toute notre énergie, nos efforts et nos passions dans la création de cet album remarque, ''Dhyana'' (ce qui veut dire : ''le moment où l'esprit est absorbé par le coeur''). Nous sommes tous très fiers et sommes impatients de vous le présenter. Avec le soutien indéfectible de nos fans du monde entier, nous avons pu enregistrer l'album avec l'Orchestre philharmonique de Prague, ce qui nous a permis de bénéficier du savoir-faire du producteur Joost van den Broek. Son énorme motivation nous a permis de répondre aux normes élevées des meilleurs productions. Nous sommes extrêmement excités !''
Le concept de cet album repose sur des thèmes conceptuels tels que la conscience de soi, de nos pensées et l'abandon de nos egos afin de découvrir qui nous sommes vraiment.
You probably know the band MaYaN, known to be led by Mark Jansen, guitarist and composer of Epica. The band announced the release of a new album for September 21st, 2018 via Nuclear Blast. This new opus is entitled ''Dhyana'' and a first track, ''The Rhythm Of Freedom", is already online.
The band's love for film music led it to surround itself with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra to record this new album, thanks to the money collected from their fans (40,000 euros). This orchestra is known worldwide for having participated in movie soundtracks such as ''Star Wars'', ''Hannibal'' or ''Arrival'', but also for collaborating with Dimmu Borgir on ''Death Cult Armageddon''.
Mark Jansen states: "We have worked with all our energy, efforts and passion to create a remarkable album. 'Dhyana' (which means the moment when the mind gets absorbed by the heart) makes us all very proud and we can't wait for it to be released. With the support of our loyal fans worldwide we were able to record the album with the City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Because of this and also producer Joost van den Broek's know-how and enormous motivational drive we were able to meet the high standards of the best productions of today. It's needless to say that we are extremely excited!"
This album is based on conceptual themes such as self-awareness of our thoughts and the abandonment of our egos to discover who we really are.
