Vous connaissez peut être avant tout Christopher Bowes pour son rôle de frontman du groupe de pirates Alestorm, mais il est également claviériste du groupe de Power Metal GloryHammer. Formé en 2010, le groupe tourne relativement souvent mais ne compte que deux albums à son actif : « Tales From The Kingdom Of Fife » (2013) et « Space 1992 : Rise Of The Chaos Wizard » (2015), sortis via Napalm Records.

Il ne reste plus qu'à faire preuve d'un peu de patience pour découvrir le successeur de « Space 1992 : Rise Of The Chaos Wizard ». Pour rappel, cet album faisait référence à la guerre galactique de 1992, soit mille ans après que le brave héros Angus McFife ait vaincu le maléfique sorcier Zargothrax dans la bataille de Dunfermline, piégeant ce sorcier dans une prison gelée de glace liquide. Mais depuis peu, un culte de sorciers du chaos impies complotait pour libérer leur maître sombre de sa tombe de glace et affirmer la mainmise de Zargothrax sur l'univers. Le destin tragique de l'Empire Galactique de Fife était alors à nouveau en jeu.
GloryHammer se distingue dans l'univers du Power Metal en prenant place dans un contexte cosmique ou chevaliers, licornes et goblins se fréquentent. Le groupe se compose ainsi d'Angus McFife (Thomas Winkler, de son vrai nom) au chant, de Ser Proletius (Paul Templing, de son vrai nom) à la guitare, de The Hootsman (James Cartwright, de son vrai nom) à la basse, de Zargothrax (Christopher Bowes, de son vrai nom) au clavier et de Ralathor (Ben Turk, de son vrai nom) à la batterie.
