Le groupe, de Troyes, a été créé par le chanteur, bassiste et compositeur : Fred Dee Ceased. David Ripper, guitare lead et choeurs, Pandemonium, guitare rythmique et chœurs et Speed à la batterie complètent la line-up.Avec un look digne d’un film d’horreur : gabardine en cuir, chapeau haut de forme pour le chanteur-bassiste et visages maquillés façon morts vivants, pour les membres du groupe, dès leur arrivée sur la scène, nous sommes projetés dans l’ambiance horrifique du groupe.
Fred scande ‘Wake Up, Wake Up!’ sur ‘Orion Conspiracy’, un titre heavy en plein. Le chant est guttural, comme sorti des profondeurs de l’enfer. Les riffs sont hyper-saturés, stridents comme la menace froide du couperet, tranchant l’obscurité. Fred annoncera que ‘Psycho Witch’ est la 3ème chanson de leur nouvel album : March of the Dead’, disponible sur toutes les plateformes de streaming, mais aussi en version CD auprès de tous les grands distributeurs de musique. J’ai l’impression d’assister à une descente aux enfers, sur les rails d’un grand huit, à bord d’un train fantôme dont le wagonnet de tête serait piloté par ce chanteur croquemitaine et par ses assesseurs musiciens pour un voyage dont on ne sortira pas indemne. Le train de l’enfer prend un train d’enfer et nous voilà propulsé à pleine vitesse dans ce manège dantesque. « Born to kill, born to die » exulte le chanteur. « Etes-vous prêts à déchainer les enfers ? » propose-t-il au public. ‘Gnome’ résonne comme une marche funèbre accélérée, d’où on s’attend à voir surgir des monstres. Fred annoncera un inédit ‘Satan’s School’. Puis, il annoncera « One Two, Fuck You, It’s not easy to be a rock n’roll band » —> c’est clair qu’à notre époque, il est plus simple de chanter dans un synthé et de faire de la soupe. Il demandera ensuite au public de hurler « Fuck you » lorsqu’il dira « One to », jeu auquel les spectateurs se prêteront volontiers. Les derniers titres résonneront telle une danse macabre célébrant l’inexorable marche vers la destruction.
Le show est bien rodé. Sleazyz propose un univers bien à lui, dans lequel je me suis laissée happer. Un son heavy efficace, surfant sur un rock énergique et sans concession, servi par une belle brochette de musiciens, aguerris et proposant des compos abouties et ébouriffantes.
Alors prêt pour un départ sur le grand huit du horror metal punk !

The band, from Troyes, was created by the singer, bass player and composer: Fred Dee Ceased. David Ripper, lead guitar and backing vocals, Pandemonium, rhythm guitar and backing vocals and Speed on drums complete the line-up.With a look worthy of a horror movie: leather gabardine, top hat for the singer-bassist and faces made up like the living dead, for the members of the band, as soon as they arrive on the stage, we are projected in the horrific atmosphere of the band.
Fred chants 'Wake Up, Wake Up!' on 'Orion Conspiracy', a heavy track in full. The vocals are guttural, as if from the depths of hell. The riffs are hyper-saturated, shrill like the cold threat of the cleaver, slicing through the darkness. Fred will announce that 'Psycho Witch' is the 3rd song of their new album: 'March of the Dead', available on all streaming platforms, but also in CD version in all major music distributors. I have the impression to attend a descent to hell, on the rails of a roller coaster, on board a ghost train whose head car would be piloted by this bogeyman singer and his musical assessors for a journey from which we will not leave unscathed. The train of hell takes a train of hell and here we are propelled at full speed in this Dantesque ride. "Born to kill, born to die" exults the singer. "Are you ready to unleash the underworld?" he suggests to the audience. Gnome' sounds like an accelerated funeral march, from which one expects monsters to appear. Fred will announce an unreleased 'Satan's School'. Then he announces "One Two, Fuck You, It's not easy to be a rock n' roll band" -> clearly in this day and age it's easier to sing into a synth and make soup. He will then ask the audience to scream "Fuck you" when he says "One to", a game that the audience will gladly play. The last titles will resound like a macabre dance celebrating the inexorable march towards destruction.
The show is well broken in. Sleazyz proposes a universe of its own, in which I let myself be caught. An efficient heavy sound, surfing on an energetic and uncompromising rock, served by a nice bunch of musicians, seasoned and offering accomplished and breathtaking compositions.
So ready for a departure on the horror metal punk roller coaster!
