Rising All Star - R.A.S est un groupe de neo metal niçois avec Barbarossa à la guitare, Tedzilla à la basse, Bull et Thad au chant, Sin Whisperer Dj et sample et Rad Maxxx à la batterie.La formation existe depuis 2019, mais n'a commencé à se produire en live que depuis le 3 septembre, date de leur première apparition publique au Monster's Art, pour un remplacement de dernière minute. Depuis, Rising All Star enchaîne les concerts et retrouve la scène du Monster's Art.
Une ouverture du live par une brève série de samples (voix, sirène, électro), puis nous découvrons les musiciens et les chanteurs en action. C'est la claque magistrale ! Thad égraine son chant rap tandis que Bull assène ses screams. Le chant clair est également dans leurs cordes, comme ils le prouveront au cours de la soirée. Ils affichent une intéressante complémentarité. Côté Dj Sample, Sin Whisperer, visage caché derrière un masque façon American Nightmare, propose un échantillon d'extraits sonores et de mixages variés, avec un dosage équilibré et une insertion pertinente à l'intérieur ou en intro des morceaux. Tedzilla est renversant avec son jeu de slap et ses sections rythmiques hallucinantes. Sa basse nous renvoie des sonorités funk très réussies, particulièrement sur 'Funky Sexxx', mais pas uniquement. Sur 'Asylum', l'intro réalisée par le bassiste et par le guitariste est remarquable et originale. Barbarossa a le talent nécessaire pour extirper des distorsions, des effets scratch et des vibratos puissants à sa guitare. D'ailleurs, une belle part est laissée aux solos que ce soit de guitare ou de basse. Sur 'Everybody Run', Thad demande au public de sauter à son signal. On retrouve l'esprit de Korn sur ce titre avec une alternance de rage étouffée et d'énergie musclée. Derrière sa batterie, Rad Maxxx assure, en apportant punch et intensité à l’instrumentation parée d’un groove certain. Les 6 artistes se donnent à fond, tant et si bien que Tedzilla à force d’handbanguer, perdra à plusieurs reprises son bonnet et finira par casser la sangle de sa basse, ce qui conduira à une pause pour effectuer une réparation avec les moyens du bord avant d'aborder 'Lonely Road', chanson plus mélodique. Will, bassiste et chanteur d'Heart Attack est invité à les rejoindre sur scène pour entonner 'Rise Up' en trio.
Scéniquement, les 6 membres de Rising All Star affichent une présence efficace, en bougeant comme de beaux diables et en échangeant avec le public. Rising All Star est assurément une étoile montante dans l'univers du metal maralpin et taillé pour se projeter au-delà. Leur performance est époustouflante. Un album est prévu en 2022. Une réalisation que nous suivrons avec attention !

Rising All Star - R.A.S is a neo metal band from Nice with Barbarossa on guitar, Tedzilla on bass, Bull and Thad on vocals, Sin Whisperer Dj and sample and Rad Maxxx on drums.The band exists since 2019, but has only started to perform live since September 3rd, when they made their first public appearance at Monster's Art, for a last minute replacement. Since then, Rising All Star has been playing live and has returned to the Monster's Art stage.
The live show opens with a short series of samples (voice, siren, electro), then we discover the musicians and singers in action. It is the masterly slap! Thad spells out his rap vocals while Bull hits his screams. The clear singing is also in their strings, as they will prove it during the evening. They show an interesting complementarity. On the Dj Sample side, Sin Whisperer, face hidden behind a mask like American Nightmare, proposes a sample of sound extracts and varied mixes, with a balanced proportioning and a relevant insertion inside or in intro of the tracks. Tedzilla is amazing with his slap game and his hallucinating rhythmic sections. His bass sends back very successful funk sounds, especially on 'Funky Sexxx', but not only. On 'Asylum', the intro made by the bassist and the guitarist is remarkable and original. Barbarossa has the necessary talent to extract distortions, scratch effects and powerful vibratos to his guitar. Moreover, a beautiful part is left to the solos that it is of guitar or bass. On 'Everybody Run', Thad asks the audience to jump at his signal. We find the spirit of Korn on this title with an alternation of stifled rage and muscular energy. Behind his drums, Rad Maxxx ensures, bringing punch and intensity to the instrumentation adorned with a certain groove. The 6 artists give their all, so much so that Tedzilla by dint of handbanging, will lose several times his cap and will end up breaking the strap of his bass, which will lead to a break to make a repair with the means of the edge before approaching 'Lonely Road', more melodic song. Will, bassist and singer of Heart Attack is invited to join them on stage to sing 'Rise Up' in trio.
On stage, the 6 members of Rising All Star show an effective presence, moving like beautiful devils and exchanging with the public. Their performance is breathtaking. Rising All Star is certainly a rising star in the world of metal maralpine and cut to project itself beyond. An album is planned for 2022. A realization that we will follow with attention!
